Chlorophyll: Gentle help from natural sources
Chlorophyll is one of the most important natural compounds. Like a small, green power station it incessantly transforms sunlight into energy. This metabolism in plants is known as photosynthesis.
Chlorophyll reflected in science: In 1909 French scientists first called the green colouring of leaves chlorophyll (Greek: chloros = green, phyllos = leaf). It has been known since 1851 that chlorophyllin is chemically related to hemin, the red coloring in blod. Since then the various effects have been studied in a series of scientific examinations. Chlorophyllin in medicine was used 40-50 years ago. The positive effects of chlorophyllin was recognized by local using, e.g. cleaning of dirty, infected wounds and healing of great areas and deep wounds.
The oral use of chlorophyllin resulted in a decreasing resp. dimishing of penetrant body and mouth odour. The experiments were done in 1953 (Voigtländer and Henning) with cultures of bacteria. One result was that the amount of chlorophyllin in the solution is responsible for the deodorizing effect. A German doctor (Prof. Dr. G. Rossberg) wrote his experiences of about 40 years with Stozzon for Queisser in 1991. He worked in German hospitals and Ghana (Africa) with patients suffering from cancer with severe body/wound or mouth odour.
Taking Stozzon results in a decrease of odour in a short period of time. The detailed mechanism, e.g. biochemistry way is not known until today. No side-effects have been observed.
